We recently visited the new location of Memoirs for Pets at Good Dog Collective in the Canary District (right by the Distillery District), and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The studio is brand new, beautifully set up, and very well equipped. It was Whisper’s very first photoshoot, and the team made it such a fun and comfortable experience for him. He got plenty of treats, lots of patience, and so much care (and fun) throughout the session. You can really tell how much they care about their business, it shows in every detail. This isn’t just another photo studio; it’s a thoughtful and beautiful experience, both for the pets and their owners. We also received the photos incredibly quickly, and they are absolutely beautiful. They provided a great selection of images, all high quality and thoughtfully captured. Highly recommend!!! We had the most amazing experience with Lucky’s photo session! From the moment we arrived, the team was welcoming, patient, and truly great with pets. They made Lucky feel comfortable right away, kept the session fun, and were super thoughtful with direction and timing. The photos turned out stunning, beautiful lighting, great composition, and you can really see Lucky’s personality in every shot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for high-quality pet photos and a wonderful experience!
I loved that they closed the shop for us during our photoshoot. It was such a calm environment and I could tell my dog felt so safe and relaxed and it really comes across in the photos! This has been my favourite photoshoot we’ve done so far and we will definitely be going back!

Everything you need to know before your session, from preparing your pet to selecting your favourite photographs.
No need to worry, most pets are not expected to sit perfectly still. Every session is paced around your pet's personality, with plenty of patience, encouragement, and breaks when needed. We use positive reinforcement and capture natural movements, so even the most energetic pets can have a successful session.
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to join your pet for a few portraits at no additional cost. Whether it is a family photo or simply celebrating the bond you share, we'd love to capture those moments with you.
Session length varies depending on the experience you book. Most sessions last between 15 and 45 minutes, allowing plenty of time for your pet to get comfortable, explore the set, and capture beautiful variety of images without feeling rushed.
Your online gallery is typically delivered 2-4 business days after your session, From there once you select your favourites it may take us roughly around the same timeframe to edit. During busy holiday seasons, turnaround times may be slightly longer, but we'll always keep you updated along the way.
Yes! We love photographing multiple pets from the same family. If you are bringing more than one pet, please let us know when booking so we can prepare and recommend the best experience and allow enough time to capture everyone comfortably.
To help your session go smoothly we recommend:
- Giving your pet a light walk or play session beforehand to help burn off excess energy.
- Bringing their favourite treats and toys for encouragment
- Ensuring they're well-groomed and comfortable
- Bring any essentials they may need
- Most importantly, relax! Pets naturally pick up on your energy, and our sessions are designed to be fun, patient, and stress-free
